Loft Conversion to detached dwelling in Henleaze Bristol

Our brief was to design a loft conversion to achieve an additional bedroom. A side dormer was designed to comfortably fit into the existing roof to accommodate the staircase and entrance to the new bedroom. With restricted headroom to the existing loft space and a need for planning permission, this proved very challenging.
Utilising our structural engineering expertise and experience in this field, we were able to carefully achieve a workable solution. On site advice was given during the construction to the builder and to the client to overcome concerns on the viability of the project. Upon completion they were more than satisfied and the project was awarded 'highly commended' by the LABC.
